Hmm, have you checked the fuse? Or maybe you're buying useless bulbs?

The Rabbit is awesome! The only reason I didn't get it is because I don't like hatchbacks, but it is a fun car :)

I cosigned for a friend and eventually inherited at VW Rabbit. I'm used to driving pick up trucks so getting used to driving a small car wasn't easy. But I must say it's fun to drive and it's got great power and I love driving like an idiot in that thing. I weave in and out of traffic and I can park that thing anywhere. My only complaint it, there is one headlight that goes out every few months

Your windows fell into the door? That's horrible! My first VW was a 2001 Passat and by 2006 I had to replace the transmission. What a hassles that was! And in a year (the day after the warranty expired!) the transmission failed on me again. That's when I sold it and got the Jetta. Almost everyone in my family has a VW.

After sharing this story a lot of VW drivers have popped up telling me about their experiences and I haven't a single bad thing. Granted, there a few problems here and there, but no one has cursed the manufacturer.

I *love* both of my VWs. The first one (a 2002) more than the second (2008) though. But, obviously I loved the first one so much I had to get another when I graduated. My only qualms were on the first one that the windows fell into the doors (apparently a known problem). But with its twinkly blue lights, easy ride, and the knowledge that if someone hit me I wasn't going to be roadkill, I think they're the only cars I'll ever drive! : ) Glad you're okay!!!
