If you’re already a member of the South Florida Public Relations Network, you know what’s been going on lately with our dear PR List Serv’s moderator, Linda Hamburger.
Unfortunately, Linda lost her job and posted a message to the PR List Serv announcing this.
It’s very touching to see the massive response that Linda is getting, either through the network or through personal emails, of the hundreds of PR professionals and students offering her helpful tips on how to get back on her feet and regain her professional momentum. This is one of those moments where even though Americans are suffering and it feels like it’s every man for himself, these communities come together to help out a fallen colleague.
While I’m sure it’s not so easy to just send her a job offer, the simple fact that the SFPRN members are taking the time out of their day to send a hopefully uplifting message, speaks volumes.
Although I’m not Linda and am not the recipient of all your wonderful emails, I’d like to say thank you. Thank you for caring for one another and showing that you understand that times are tough and are willing to help someone one, even if it’s with a few kind words.
